We have expanded our workshop program to include two days of classes for the Rookie (ages 5-7) division and include them in our competition. This is a great intro into the convention world for dancers ages 5 & up! The Rookie program is for young dancers who want to experience a Nationals event but might find the Mini Room too challenging. The Rookie workshop consists of two days of classes on June 26-27. One free Rookie Observer Band will be given to the studio for the appropriate parent/guardian for each registered Rookie dancer. This band will only allow entrance to the Rookie workshop room, NO exceptions. Additional Rookie Observer bands can be purchased for $35 before the May 1 deadline ($45 after the deadline). Rookies can participate in the competition, as long as they are registered for the Rookie workshop.

Pre-registration is recommended but Observer Bands will also be available to purchase at the event. The Observer fee is $65 before the May 1 deadline and $75 after the deadline. All Observers must be attending with paid students only and may not be Teachers, Studio Owners or dancers. Observers do not have access to the Teacher room or closed rehearsals at any time. Observer bands are not required for the competition.

Observers must keep the following in mind:

  • Make sure Observer Bands are visible to the RADIX staff at all times during the workshop classes in the Senior, Teen, Junior, Mini & Rookie rooms.
  • Sit and keep all belongings as far back against the walls as possible to provide the maximum amount of room for the dancers.
  • No excessive noise or talking during the classes. It can be distracting to the dancers and teacher.
  • NO videotaping or photography allowed at any point during the workshop classes. Still photos can be taken in between classes, with the faculty, etc.
  • One day Observer Bands are not available.

Confirmations & Schedules

Confirmation letters will be emailed to each studio within one week of the office receiving that studio's registration. Ten days before the event, each studio will receive an email which will include all workshop and competition schedules, music upload information and other important details regarding the week's events.
